Pattaya like most of Thailand has the typical tropical climate and sees tourists almost all through the year. It is hot all year round. The average peak temperature is 29 degrees Celsius. Located near the top of the Gulf of Thailand, it is subject to annual monsoons and has three seasons.Here's a monthly break-up of the climate so you can plan your trip better:
November to February: The best time to visit Pattaya is from November to February when the weather is neither too hot nor too cold and remains mostly pleasant. This is also the peak tourist season and most beaches and other places of attraction are packed with visitors. One can expect short spells of rain and regular days of bright sunshine. But do try to make all your bookings in advance because places get sold out and prices tend to rise.
March to May: The weather becomes hot and humid during the months of March, April and May but nevertheless the influx of tourists remains high. While the beaches are busy during this period, they aren’t as crowded as during the peak season. Be sure to carry plenty of sunscreen lotion, sunglasses and a hat.
June to October: Pattaya experiences heavy rainfall from June to October and if you’re looking to enjoy Pattaya at its quiet best, then the rainy season is ideal. The beaches are much less crowded, temperature is not too high and hotel accommodation naturally becomes cheaper. Many people prefer to travel to Pattaya, especially during July and August, when rainfall is considerably lower and accommodation prices are more favorable. Don't forget to pack a sturdy pair of shoes to handle the rains!
GETTING AROUND IN PATTAYA
Pattaya itself does not have local meter- taxi but there are some travelling from Bangkok to bring their customers to Pattaya. It is possible to flag down the available one. Car services and non-metered taxis are available on an on-call basis which is more suitable for out of town destinations. It can be arranged through most travel agencies and many hotels and resorts. The price is more expensive than songthaew charter.
Motorbike taxi is possibly the quickest way to travel around the town but may be less safe than other types of transport. They are less expensive than a Songtaew charter. Their stations scatter around the town but it is also possible to flag down one that pass by along the road. The motorbike taxi drivers can be identified by vest top uniform with number on the back but colours can vary according to their based station. The fares vary according to the distance of the destination.
MUST SEE IN PATTAYA

Tiffany's show is a family-friendly ladyboy cabaret show.It is a spectacular transvestite cabaret act.In a breathless hour-long riot of sound, colour and light, experience a theatrical event with song, dance or skit, going from a Bollywood-style musical to Korean fan dance, from slapstick burlesque to Broadway Spectacular.After the show there the ladyboys would gather outside available for the photo session with interested audience. However, be aware that taking photos with the ladyboy means you are obligated to give the ladyboy tips as much as 40 baht to 100 baht. Some ladyboy offer free photo session though. Mini Siam features miniature replicas of important places and historical sites from all over the world. It is one of the most famous model villages in the world. The park is divided into two zones. Mini Siam contains models of buildings in Thailand, while Mini Europe contains structures from Europe, the United States and the rest of the world. The most famous monument and historical sites including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Democracy Monument, and Bridges over the River kwai, Prasat Hin Phimai, etc Miniature replicas of the Tower Bridge Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty and Trevi Fountain. Mini Siam is the place where you can see the world in one location.
Under Water World
It just seemed impossible to walk under water without getting wet, until yet, with Pattaya’s underwater world it was made possible. This is an aquarium where there is a collection of marine species from the Gulf of Thailand. Visitor can walk through the acrylic pedestrian tunnel and witness various kinds of fish swimming all around. The tunnel is 105 m long divided into 4 zones. The aquarium houses more than 4,000 marine animals, comprising more than 200 different species from the region as well as some rare creatures from overseas and a rare shovelnose ray, a hybrid between a shark and a stingray. There are marine life feeding shows both on the surface of the water and underwater in each zone. A marvelous sight, it’s definitely worth a visit.
